The Finance Department manages and invests the City's public funds as well as issues municipal bonds, collects city revenues, and provides general accounting services.

The department is responsible for accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, grants monitoring, and preparation of routine accounting reports as well as preparing the City's biennial budget.

The City's adopted budget is a legal document giving the City authority to spend public funds. The Budget follows the policies, goals and service levels determined by City Council.

The City of Medford files liens with Net Assets; it does not file liens with the Jackson County Clerk.  A one-time lien search can be completed by calling the Finance Department at 541-774-2030 for a fee of $30 per address.

If you are a title company, realtor, or other entity that would like to have access to the Net Assets Conduit platform so you can perform your own lien searches, you may do so by contacting Net Assets at 541-485-8876.  The $30 fee per address still applies when performing your own searches.
