As the Fourth of July holiday approaches, the City of Medford is reminding residents to celebrate responsibly and follow local fireworks regulations.Fire danger in the Medford area is currently High. While consumer fireworks are legal during the designated use period, current conditions make it especially important to follow safety precautions and dispose of fireworks properly.
The Medford Urban Renewal Agency (MURA) works to eliminate blight and depreciating property values in the Urban Renewal Area as defined in the City Center Revitalization Plan.
Blighted areas exist within the City of Medford and therefore the need for an urban renewal agency to function in the City exists. The agency is known as the "Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Medford." The agency is exercised by a Board of Directors comprised of the City Council and Mayor, and shall have all of the powers provided in Chapter 457, Oregon Revised Statutes.

The Medford Urban Renewal Agency Budget Committee is an advisory committee to the Medford Urban Renewal Agency Board of Directors. The committee is comprised of nine public members as well as the Agency Board of Directors. It is the responsibility of the Committee to review the budget for consistency with the City Center Revitalization Plan and either approve or revise the budget submitted by the Executive Director.
The Medford Urban Renewal Agency Advisory Committee is an ad hoc committee to the Medford Urban Renewal Agency Board of Directors. The committee is comprised of nine public members.
The committee evaluates critical issues and opportunities concerning urban renewal in Medford.
