The City Attorney's Office provides legal services to City elected officials, City departments, boards, commissions, and committees. Services include civil litigation, ordinances, contracts, prosecution of traffic ordinance violations, and risk management.

The City Attorney also oversees private law firms retained to assist the city with specialized legal matters. 

The attorneys in the City Attorney's Office represent the City of Medford, and therefore cannot give legal advice to residents or other individuals or entities.

Municipal Court handles parking, traffic and city ordinance citations issued by the Medford Police Department.
