The City Manager's Office provides strategic leadership and professional management to the City government organization and works with the City Council to develop and implement its policies to maintain and enhance the quality of life for Medford residents.

2024-09-17_Rob-Field_sm-1 (1).jpg City Manager Rob Field was appointed in 2024 as City Manager by the Medford City Council. He brings over thirty years of experience in local government and the private sector, most recently serving as the City Manager for the City of San Bernardino, California.  

Mr. Field has a robust background in capital project planning, economic development, community engagement, and negotiating complex agreements. His extensive career includes various leadership roles within the Riverside County Economic Development Agency.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Riverside, and a Master of Arts in Leadership and Organizational Studies from California Baptist University.

City Council meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. inside Council Chambers at City Hall.

The City of Medford has several Boards and Commissions that serve as an advisory role to the City Council. Most Boards and Commissions require that you live within the Medford City limits or in Medford's Urban Growth Area, and they generally meet once per month.
