Beginning January 1, 2025, the City of Medford will implement updates to its fee schedule to help fund essential services, maintain public safety, and ensure quality parks, infrastructure, and community programs.

These fee adjustments, approved by the Medford City Council, have been carefully reviewed to keep fees balanced and fair for residents and businesses.

Key changes include:
  • Business License Fees: Adjusted to a tiered structure based on the number of employees, providing a fairer distribution among businesses of varying sizes.
  • Fleet Service Charges: Updated rates to support city fleet services and external clients, including local fire districts and school programs.
  • Development and Building Permit Fees: Simplified structure and a final phased increase to maintain efficient city development services.
  • Parks and Recreation Fees: Minor adjustments to support park maintenance and recreational facilities.
  • Public Safety Fee: A small increase to help fund operations at Fire Station 15, ensuring continued safety and emergency response.
The updated fee schedule allows Medford to meet rising costs and support community services without major impacts to residents or businesses.
