The City uses a specialized sewer and storm water pipe maintenance technique called Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP).
CIPP is a process where crews reline the existing pipes with a felt liner that’s saturated with epoxy, then inflate and cure it. This treatment means the City won’t have to dig up the roads and has minimal disruption to residents. It also allows for longer pipe section repairs.
Cured-In-Place Pipe is an efficient, cost-effective way to rehabilitate the City’s aging infrastructure and save residents money on sewer utility fees.
The life span for CIPP is 50 years.
