City of Medford Launches Outreach Court
Published on January 17, 2024
The City of Medford's Municipal Court has launched the Medford Outreach Court, a new initiative to make its services more accessible to the community.
This new program helps individuals with open municipal court cases and provide information on resources and services available in the area.
The first event took place on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the Kelly Shelter (685 Market St., Medford). Municipal Court is planning to host another Medford Outreach Court in mid-February.
After providing services at the Fall 2023 Resource Fair, Municipal Court Judge Virginia Greer said she saw the need to do more outreach in the community.
“We received a lot of positive feedback after participating in the latest Resource Fair and want to continue that momentum,” said Judge Greer. “I really hope we're able to build trust in not only the court, but the court staff and the system, and let people know we're here to help."
Please note, the Medford Outreach Court will not be able to assist with domestic violence, felonies or juvenile cases.
