The winning entries of the City of Medford’s 2024 Community Art Contest are now on display at City Hall.

The contest invited high school students to showcase their creativity and talent around the theme: “Community.”

After reviewing a remarkable array of submissions, the City Council selected four standout pieces that best captured the spirit of the city.

Winning artists and titles:

  • Madeline Pepper – My Interpretation of the Winter Lights Festival
  • Serafina Batista – Growers and Crafters
  • Kiah Otjen – Nature’s Contrast
  • Lily Zavala – Let’s Medford Together

Each student received a $1,000 scholarship in recognition of their work. Residents can view the winning artwork inside City Hall, just past public Entrance A, during regular business hours.

The contest was funded by the Council Community Initiative Fund (CCIF), which is comprised of marijuana tax revenue the City receives from local and state taxes. The grant supported marketing materials, prizes, and the printing and framing of the winning artwork.
