Step 1.Review Process for Mobile Food Units

FIRST, check in with the Planning Department to make sure your Mobile Food truck, trailer or cart is allowed to operate at the address you have selected.

Once you have verified your address, you can begin the review process by submitting the Business License Application Packet to the Planning Department.

Step 2.Business License Application Packet

You will need the following items for review:

  • Your completed Medford Mobile Food Unit application packet
  • Jackson County Environmental Public Health certificate
  • $50 application fee is due at time of submission. 

Step 3.Submit your Application Packet

Electronic submittal is preferred:

  • planning@cityofmedford.org (If submitting by email, forms must be in PDF format/Si se envían por correo electrónico, los formularios deben estar en formato PDF)
  • Planning Department - Lausmann Annex, 200 S. Ivy Street, 2nd Floor

Step 4.Approval and Payment 

  • The review takes approximately 5-7 business days 
  • Once approved, you will be contacted by the Business License Department for the balance of any fees due
  • Once all fees have been paid, the Business License Department will issue your business license per your preference (email (PDF), in person or physical copy sent via USPS)

Step 5.FEES

  • $50 application fee (due at start of application review process)
  • Annual business license fee per General Business License Fee Schedule
  • Annual Infrastructure Impact fee $100
  • Payments can be made online, in person or by mail
