Update (4/3/24): Due to weather conditions, this closure has been rescheduled for Friday, April 5.

Delays are expected this week on Foothill Road from McAndrews to Hillcrest, including the Hillcrest/N. Phoenix intersection as contractors prepare for paving next week.

On Friday, April 5, Foothill Road from McAndrews to Hillcrest will be closed while contractors pave the McAndrews on and off ramps.

Please note: while both on and off ramps will be closed April 4th, McAndrews will remain open. This closure is anticipated to last one day.

Detours will be available on Springbrook Road.

Drivers can expect up to 20-minute delays in this area. Current lanes on Hillcrest Road will be shifted, and traffic control will be at the Hillcrest/N. Phoenix Road intersection.

The work is part of the $62 million Foothill Road project being constructed in part due to a $15 million Federal Build Grant received by Medford. It improves Foothill Road from Delta Waters Road south to Hillcrest Road.

When complete at the end of 2026, the existing two-lane road will feature two lanes in each direction, along with turn lanes, sidewalks, bike lanes and street lighting.
