The Planning Commission approved a revision to the Mountain Top Village area of the Vista Pointe Planned Unit Development in a 4–3 vote on Feb. 26.
The applicant, Pacific Rental Properties, LLC, requested to modify the 2017-approved revision, which included 132 townhouse-style units and 41 single-family lots.
Under the new plan, the development allows 199 multi-family units in 11 buildings on approximately 25 acres. Five duplexes (10 units) have already been built, bringing the total number of dwellings to 209—36 more than the previous plan. The remaining 35 single-family lots have been removed from the project, resulting in an increase of open space from about eight acres to 16.
Mountain Top Village is located north of Vista Pointe Drive, northeast of Park Ridge Drive, and west of Bordeaux Avenue, near the ends of Whitney Terrace, Evening Ridge Terrace, and Deer Ridge Drive.
A final written decision is scheduled for the Planning Commission’s March 12 meeting. Staff noted the action may be appealed to the City Council.
