At its Nov. 5 meeting, the Medford City Council approved a resolution memorializing contracts with consulting firms supporting planning efforts for the Creekside Quarter concept.

During the last fiscal year, the City entered into several agreements for the project’s early-stage vision. Expenditures totaled $268,080, including $211,375 paid across four firms and a pending invoice of $56,705.

The Creekside Quarter concept represents a privately initiated vision for potential redevelopment in downtown Medford. The proposal includes a mix of land uses—such as a hotel, urban residential infill, multistory retail and office space, an elevated parking structure, a conference center, and a multi-purpose outdoor sports and event stadium. It also features proposed Bear Creek restoration and public park revitalization.

In June 2025, Council approved a $200,000 supplemental budget to cover associated expenses for that fiscal year. Of that amount, $126,861 was spent. A new supplemental budget is expected to be considered in December for the remaining $141,219.

Consulting services included legal, design, advisory, and market expertise to help evaluate project feasibility, prepare conceptual designs, and support early negotiations.
