The City of Medford is pleased to welcome Dan Worth, who officially assumed the role of Public Works Director on July 1, 2025.

Worth brings with him decades of leadership in public service, most recently serving as Public Works Director for Scottsdale, Arizona, beginning in November 2006. In that role, he oversaw transportation, streets, facilities, vehicle maintenance, solid waste services, and capital programs. He also served as Acting City Manager from July 2012 through June 2013 and, earlier in his tenure, as City Engineer, overseeing a $1 billion capital improvements program.

Before entering municipal government, Worth served 22 years as an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, holding engineering and public works leadership positions around the world.

He holds degrees from the United States Military Academy and the University of Maryland, and is a registered professional engineer in Arizona.

Beyond his career, Worth enjoys hiking and fishing with his wife, Cathie, and their twelve grandchildren—eight of whom have caught their first fish with their “Papa.”
