ANALYSIS
The Sanitary Sewer Master Plan identified capacity constraints in the Medford sewer system and identified projects to remove those capacity constraints from existing and future development. The Delta Waters (Whittle to Blackthorn) Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project is identified in the Master Plan as project number P-25. The project name became a high priority once it was identified as a key capacity constraint which needed to be addressed before further development could occur in East Medford, particularly in the Hillcrest, E McAndrews, Foothill Road area. The project upsizes the existing sewer on Crater Lake Highway starting near Whittle Avenue to Delta Waters Road and then on Delta Waters Road from Crater Lake Highway to Blackthorn Road.
