Lithia & Driveway Fields
Lithia & Driveway Fields are owned and operated by the City of Medford. This 132-acre sports park is the largest municipal installation of Field Turf in the United States with nearly 1.5 million square-feet of synthetic grass. Lithia and Driveway Fields has hosted over 70,000 youth and adult games, and has generated over $160 million in economic impact since opening in May 2008. Lithia Motors purchased the naming rights for the park in 2021.
The park consists of 3 full-size baseball fields, 7 softball/baseball fields, and 5 soccer/football fields.
Rental Information
General Rental Definition: All teams, groups, organizations and individuals utilizing Lithia & Driveway Fields for organized sports on an ongoing or reoccurring basis for programs, practices, games or scrimmages must have a paid reservation.
Fields and Availability: Fields may be requested between 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily unless closed for maintenance or set-up.
Field & Fence Setup: Fields are set up as-is and renters must not move fences, goals and/or mounds.
Field Release:
We at the city offer a public field release three times a year in collaboration with the season: Fall, Winter/Spring and Summer. Please contact us via
fields@cityofmedford.org to become a user and sign up for public field release email alerts and communication.
How to Submit Your Request
You must email your request to
fields@cityofmedford.org. Please do not call or show up in person. Requests will be processed in the order they are received. If emails are received before 8am, they will be put in the back of the line. We will send out reservation confirmations once all requests have been processed.
Available Evening Time Slots
Two-hour blocks:
Lighting charges: Lights will be automatically added to reservations when applicable. Cost is $15/hour, billed in 30-minute increments.
Field Information
Fields 1-5 - Softball/Baseball: $20.00/hr
Fields 7 & 8 - Fast Pitch Softball/Baseball: $20.00/hr
Field 6 - Softball/Baseball/Multi-Sport (changes seasonally): $25.00/hr
Field 9 - Baseball (permanent mound): $25.00/hr
Gary H. Wheeler Field (Full-size Stadium Field Multi-Sport): Practices $30.00/hr or Games/Events $40.00/hr
Fields 11-14 - Full size multi-sport fields: $30.00/hr
Additional Fees
Lights: $15.00/hr (Lights are added automatically to all reservations as needed)
Portable Mound Rentals 10U - 14U: $20 (Must be requested 24 hours in advance.)
Portable Fence Set-Up: $150/field (Must be requests 7 business days in advance.)
Mounds and Fences cannot be rented Fridays and weekend. Rental requests are not guaranteed and subject to change due to city events and tournaments.
Cancellations and Refunds:
To receive a refund (minus a $5 fee), cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled reservation time by emailing fields@cityofmedford.org. Same-day cancellations made after 1pm or no-shows that are not weather-related are not guaranteed a refund. Teams or organizations that do not communicate cancellations prior to their scheduled reservation may be subject to adjustments or removal of future reservations without prior authorization.
The City maintains the right to cancel, change and/or refund any field reservations as needed for City sponsored events.
Inclement Weather:
The safety of players, coaches and spectators remains our top priority. The City may determine field conditions to be unsafe due to factors including but not limited to; hail, thunder & lightning, smoke or excessive heat (in accordance with AQI guidelines).

For clarity, weather-related cancellations apply when fields are officially closed due to field playability and overall safety conditions. Refunds are typically issued when fields are deemed unsafe or unplayable, such as standing water, snow coverage, smoke or lightning concerns. Reservations are generally considered valid, even in rainy conditions.
The City reserves the right to determine whether fields remain playable and/or if account credit will be issued.
