Parks In Progress

Addysen Park

A new 8.27-acre neighborhood park is planned for west Medford within the Addysen Park subdivision, bringing much-needed open space to a growing area. Initial amenities—playground, picnic shelter, restroom, dog park, lighting, and basketball court—are expected by June 2027, with future additions like walking paths, a splash pad, and pickleball courts planned as funding allows.

Chrissy Park

Currently undeveloped, Chrissy Park is a 166-acre multi-use park on Medford’s eastern edge designed to serve both nearby neighborhoods and the broader community. A 10-acre section along Cherry Lane will provide local park amenities, while the remainder of the site functions as a special use and natural open space area with hiking and equestrian trails. The master plan includes features such as sport courts, cycle cross areas, picnic spaces, disc golf, a playground, restrooms, and parking. The park is also envisioned as a key connector, linking to Prescott Park and trail systems along the riparian corridors of Larson Creek, helping to create an integrated network of recreation, access, and natural habitat.

No site plans for chrissy park available at this time.

Midway Park

This 30-acre property located at the end of Midway Rd was purchased in 1990 and plans were made to develop the land into a city park in 2006. Currently seeking funding, this park could include several bicycle tracks, play area, disc golf course and dog park.

Wes Howard Memorial Sports Park

A major expansion of Wes Howard Memorial Sports Park is underway, bringing a wide range of family-friendly amenities to the 50-acre site near Rogue Credit Union Community Complex (RogueX). Planned features include a new neighborhood park with playgrounds and walking paths, sand volleyball courts, youth ballfields with batting cages, and expanded parking. Designed to meet growing community demand and support recreation for all ages, most improvements are expected to be completed in the next few years. Currently a large regional pickleball complex as well as a Vietnam War Memorial Wall have been completed at the site.
