Eligibility requirements
- The Mayor and City Councilor candidates must be registered to vote. Verify your voter status HERE.
- The Mayor and City Councilor candidates must live continuously within Medford's city limits during the six months immediately preceding the election.
- City Councilor candidates must reside within the ward they represent and remain living within that ward throughout their term. Please confirm your ward HERE.
- Mayoral candidates must reside within the Medford City limits and remain living within the City throughout their term.

Things to consider
- The City Councilors are volunteers; you will receive no monetary compensation for serving as a City Councilor.
- Elected officials dedicate between 10-25 hours each week to conduct City business.
- Attendance is required at City Council meetings. Meetings will be held the first and third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. Study sessions will be held the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Additional meetings are held as needed.
- Elected officials also serve as members of the City Budget Committee, Medford Urban Renewal Agency (MURA) Board, MURA Budget Committee, and other boards or commissions as assigned.
