Home Based

If you have a business that you run from your home, you will need to get your home base business license.  If you live outside of Medford but do business here, you will need a Medford business license.

Types of businesses: 

Contractor (construction, landscaper, etc)

Housekeeping/Cleaning Services

Yard or Lawn Maintenance

Bookkeeper

Personal trainer

Mobile services (pressure washing, car repairs, etc)

 

Here is what you need!

Step 1.Application

  • You will need to submit the following items for your home based business license:
    1. Medford business license application (filled out entirely - if there is a question that does not pertain to you, please list "n/a" as your answer)
    2. Home Based License Agreement (IF you do not live in Medford but are conducting business here, you only need to fill out the application)

Step 2.How to submit your application

  • Email:  businesslicenses@cityofmedford.org
  • In person:  200 S. Ivy Street,  Lausmann Annex, Second Floor
  • By mail:  City of Medford Attn: B/L, 200 S. Ivy Street, Medford, OR 97501

Step 3.Approval and Payment

  • Review process of your application takes approximately 1-3 business days
  • Once we have your information entered in, we will contact you by email with a link for payment
  • Payments can be made online, in person or by mail
  • Fees follow the General Business License Fee schedule
  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, check or cash
