Beginning with August utility bills, Medford residents will see the July 1 utility rate adjustment reflected on their monthly statement. These utility investments help maintain the infrastructure and services that keep our community safe, connected, and running every day.

From emergency response and street maintenance to wastewater treatment and neighborhood parks, utility investments help keep Medford safe, reliable, and prepared for the future.

Here’s how utility investments support the essential services residents rely on every day:

Sewer Collection & Treatment: Nearly half of the recent adjustment supports sewer collection and treatment, including required upgrades to the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility. These improvements help the City meet updated environmental standards while protecting public health and the Rogue River.

Public Safety: Funding supports police and fire services, emergency response, public safety facilities, EMS squads, and the Livability Team. Recent investments include the launch of Medford Fire Department's third EMS squad and construction of the new Fire Station 15.

Street Maintenance: Funding supports pavement preservation, ADA accessibility improvements, street lighting, signage, and maintenance of Medford's roadway network.

Storm Drain: Funding helps maintain and improve the City's stormwater system, reduces flooding risks and protects local waterways.
