Knife River Materials has made significant progress on the Foothill Road Improvement Project, completing paving six months ahead of schedule.  In the upcoming months, Knife River will focus on constructing medians, sidewalks, bike paths, and landscaping until weather allows for final striping. The project is on track to be completed in 2026.

Foothill Road is currently open to traffic but remains an active construction zone:
  • McAndrews Road to Cedar Links Drive - all four lanes are open
  • Cedar Links Drive to Delta Waters Road - One lane in each direction as concrete sidewalk, median, landscaping, bike path, and driveways are completed.
Please remember that this is still an active construction zone.  Please drive cautiously and obey traffic laws, including posted speed limits.

The work is part of the $62 million Foothill Road project being constructed in part due to a $15 million Federal Build Grant received by Medford. It improves Foothill Road from Delta Waters Road south to Hillcrest Road.

When complete in 2026, Foothill Road will feature four lanes (two in each direction), along with turn lanes, sidewalks, bike lanes and street lighting.
