Medford Parks and Recreation Announces New and Returning Events

Medford Parks and Recreation is gearing up for a busy and festive season with a series of new and returning community events planned throughout the rest of the year.

Yappy Hour's Doxin-Dash

This new event will feature dashing dachshunds competing for glory at Walkabout Brewery. Community members (aged 21+) are invited to cheer on these speedy pups and bring their own (all breeds welcome) for a night of social play and photo opportunities. 

When: Friday, September 19 | 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: Walkabout Brewery (921 Mason Way, Medford)
Admission: Free (cash donations accepted)

A Night of Heroes Family Dance

Calling all superheroes! Capes, costumes, and dance moves will collide at the inaugural A Night of Heroes Family Dance.

When: Friday, October 3 | 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: RogueX (901 Rossanley Drive, Medford)

Howl-O-Ween Party

The annual Howl-O-Ween celebration returns with added flavor this year. In addition to music, bounce houses, a costume contest and more, a new chili cook-off will be featured at the event. The cook-off is free, but participants must pre-register here.

When: Friday, October 24 | 6 to 9 p.m.

Admission: $5 per person (free for passholders)

Winter Lights Festival

Soak up the holiday magic at the 2025 Winter Lights Festival. Attendees can enjoy live performances, vendor booths, the tree lighting, and photo opportunities with Santa as the community comes together to celebrate the season.

New this year is a chance to join an illuminated parade. Participants are invited to decorate bikes, trikes, scooters, wagons, or strollers and help Santa make his way to the stage. The parade is free, but partakes must pre-register here.

When: Saturday, December 6 | 5 to 7 p.m.

Breakfast with Santa

A seasonal favorite, Breakfast with Santa includes a yummy meal and photo opportunities.
