Make the Most of Spring Break in Medford

From getting to know a few local superheroes to up close views of amphibians and reptiles, there’s no shortage of fun things to do during Medford’s Spring Break, March 24-28.
1. Medford Metro Reptile Expo
Frogs, pythons, and bearded dragons, oh my! More than 40 vendors will fill The Expo’s Olsrud Arena for this year’s Medford Metro Reptile Expo. Whether you’re a reptile enthusiast or just curious, it’s a chance to see some interesting creatures up close.
When: Saturday, March 22 | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Where: Jackson County Expo (1 Peninger Rd., Central Point)
Admission: $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under
2. Hero Day at The Children’s Museum
Grab your capes and join the fun at The Children’s Museum for Hero Day. This special event features our local heroes, showcasing the amazing work done by Medford Police, Medford Fire Department, Medford Public Works, U.S. Coast Guard, and Rogue Disposal & Recycling. Explore their trucks and machinery up close and get a firsthand look at their roles in our community.
When: Saturday, March 29 | 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Where: The Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon (413 W. Main St., Medford)
Admission: Free for museum members, children under one, or with admission: $15.00 for children and $10.00 for adults
3. Make a Splash at Rogue X
Make a splash at Medford’s state-of-the-art aquatics and events center. Featuring water slides, a lazy river, and an interactive play structure, Rogue X is the perfect place for family fun.
When: Open daily | Mon. – Thurs. 6:00 AM – 8:30 PM, Fri. – Sat. 8:00 AM – 7:000 PM, Sun. 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

4. Ice Skating at the RRRink
Lace up your skates and glide across the ice at the RRRink. The venue offers several public skating and “cheap skate” opportunities throughout the week.
When: Open daily | 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Where: The RRRink (1349 Center Dr., Medford)
Admission: Public skate is $13, “cheap skate” is $8, kids 5 and under are $5, and rentals are $5
5. Explore Medford’s Parks
Get outside – if the weather allows – and enjoy all that Medford parks have to offer. Take in aerial views of the City from Prescott Park atop Roxy Ann Peak or take a stroll through one of our city parks to look for cherry blossoms and other signs of spring.
Donahue-Frohnmayer Park, located at the corner of Spring Street and Springbrook Road, features a playground, ADA accessible swings, a small basketball court, and a half mile of walking paths.
