Medford's Howl-O-Ween Party returns Friday, Oct. 24, with a new flavorful feature—a community chili cook-off.
Hosted by Medford Parks and Recreation, the event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at Rogue X, located at 901 Rossanley Drive. In addition to the cook-off, the evening will feature bounce houses, music, candy, and a costume contest open to all ages.
"Medford Parks and Recreation is thrilled to present our annual Halloween event at Rogue X! This family-friendly celebration will feature games, treats, food trucks, community partner booths, and more. Each year, the event continues to grow in popularity, and we’re looking forward to welcoming even more families and community members this season," said Recreation Supervisor Sandi Sherman.
"A new highlight we’re especially excited about is the chili cook-off, which we hope will become a beloved annual tradition that our community looks forward to year after year."
Cook-off participants will receive free admission for one, and there is no fee to enter. A large crockpot is recommended, and sampling supplies will be provided. Attendees will vote for their favorite chili, with the winner taking home a prize basket. (Please note: If fewer than 10 people sign up for the cook-off by Oct. 17, it will be canceled).
General admission is $5 per person, while Rogue X pass holders get in free.
