City of Medford Announces New Leadership

The City of Medford is pleased to announce three recently filled leadership positions: Assistant City Manager, Economic Development Director, and Planning Director.
Assistant City Manager Debbie Grady joined the City on February 18, and brings a wealth of leadership experience and a strong commitment to public service.
Debbie has an extensive background in public administration and community relations, and most recently served as the Executive Director of South Sound 911 in Tacoma, WA. She holds a Master’s degree in Administration – Organizational Leadership and is eager to support Medford’s mission while serving the Southern Oregon community.
Economic Development Director Warren Ng joined the City Manager’s office on March 3. This position was newly created by City Manager Robert Field.
Warren is a seasoned leader specializing in identifying high-growth opportunities and transforming them into scalable ventures. His expertise spans data-driven leadership, innovation consulting, and venture investment. With a background in entrepreneurship, sales, and marketing, Warren’s strategic approach will help drive economic growth and business development in Medford.
Planning Director Michelle King also joined the City on March 3.
Michelle brings extensive experience in long-range planning, project management, and stakeholder engagement. She previously led climate sustainability initiatives for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York and played a key role in updating Santa Cruz’s General Plan. With a Master’s in Urban Planning, Michelle has a strong background in environmental compliance and regional planning efforts.
