Community members are invited to celebrate and honor loved ones during Calli Casa de Culturas’ first Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) Festival.
The free event takes place Saturday, Nov. 7, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Pear Blossom Park. The celebration will feature art, music, dance, cultural traditions, food and activities for all ages.
In August, the City of Medford awarded Calli Casa de Culturas $10,000 from the Council Community Initiative Fund to support the community-wide celebration.
“The City’s support helps us bring this free, family-friendly celebration to the community and provides resources to bring local families, artists and community partners together,” said Yanneli De La Torre, Executive Director of Calli Casa de Culturas.
The festival also aims to preserve Día de Muertos traditions and share them with younger generations.
