Mattress recycling reduces illegal dumping in parks, riverbeds and streets. It saves energy and water, because the steel, foam and wood in old mattresses are used to create new products. Now, mattress recycling is free for Jackson County residents, thanks to an Oregon state law and the Mattress Recycling Council’s Bye Bye Mattress program.
