Are you a high school student with a passion for art? The Medford City Council is excited to announce an art contest, and we want YOU to participate!

Theme: Community
This year’s theme centers around Community, inviting you to share your unique perspective on civic spirit, engagement, and what makes Medford special. It’s your chance to express your creativity and celebrate our city through your artwork.

Key Dates:

  • Contest Start Date: October 2
  • Submission Deadline: December 8, 11:59 PM
  • Winners Announced: Winners will be chosen by Medford City Councilors by mid-December

Prizes & Recognition:
Each ward winner will receive a $1,000 cash scholarship, and their artwork will be proudly displayed at City Hall for the community to enjoy!

Contest Guidelines:

  • Open to all high school students in Medford.
  • Artwork should be digitally renderable and printable in 24x36 poster size.
  • Use of color is encouraged.
  • Only one entry per artist is allowed.
  • By submitting, artists grant the City a limited license to feature their artwork across various City platforms, including social media and the website.

Funding for this contest is provided through the Council Community Initiative Fund, which is comprised of marijuana tax revenue the City receives from local and state taxes. The Council allocates these funds for local projects and programs that support our community and align with the Council's Biennial Goals.
